Dat Apocalypse.

{note from sena and angela: sorry about the lack of content recently... we're kind of in a       brain freeze on stuff to write about. but today we have a post from our guest blogger, mark! happy new year's guys!}

So I was wondering… with all this bath salts and zombie stuff happening, what would happen in a real apocalypse? I would have to bring many things on my EPIC JOURNEY OF AWESOMETACULAR but there are three that really step out. Without further notice, here are my top three things I would bring in an apocalypse :D.

1) I would probably bring toilet paper. I mean, if you’re out in the wild, you would probably want some toilet paper, especially with no toilets what so ever. I wouldn’t wipe it on my hand O_-. What would you use if you were taking a dump and had no toilet paper?

2) I would bring a bunch of hot pockets. They are the best food in survival!!! If you’re hungry, just pop in some hot pockets and eat. No need for cooking and adding all that spice and flavor. MSG will be your friend in the apocalypse.

3) A backpack. I mean, how are you gonna store all that toilet paper and all those hot pockets. Why carry them around with your hands when you can use your backpack to carry everything?

Even though these are my top three useless things I would bring during an apocalypse, there are still many things to worry about like water, resources, survival, and much much moar. But you better bring your toilet paper or else your hand might turn brown. Happy Late New Years everyone!!!

Christmas Eve!!!

this is a clog:
now lets get to the story (:
its original ;0
twas the night before Christmas and all through the blog,
there were two people blogging about Christmas and a clog.
the stockings were posted, as a picture after this
because this rhymer wanted readers to feel bliss

the readers were comfty snug in their chairs

as visions of thisismebeingclever danced in their heads.
and angela who was typing this poem ran out of rhymes
she soon gave up and with a fright,
wrote"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

hope you guys enjoyed that little, cheesy, and totally improvised poem (:

anyways, its christmas eve and hope you people reading this out there are having fun.

chirstmas eve is the time where those people like myself, go and buy presents for people at last minutes notice. it is a pretty sad sight when you see a bunch of other people doing the same as well.

but really, the extreme last minute people are those who come to the party, leave to go to the bathroom for a bit, but are actually running to the store to get some gifts...
i'm not even sure if any of that made sense... Have a great xmas eve everyone!!!

thought of the day:

Why does Santa Claus like to work in the garden?
comment for the answer (:

An Asian New Year

so if you even remember, we had a guest blogger, rohit. well, that was...sucessful....(no...) so we've temporarily brought in a new guest blogger, which is our friend mark! so here's his post!

Hello! My name is Mark and I shall be a guest blogger on This Is Me Being Clever. Since this blog consists of mostly girls I shall bring my own guy perspective :). Anyways, let’s get started!

Every year, New Year’s means a lot of preparation for us Asians. The worst part of New Year’s preparations is the relative dinner. It’s basically an Asian tradition that all relatives go to one dim sum place. It’s basically like a game. Since there are like thirty people there, no one wants to pay the bill. You want to avoid the bill at all costs. I’m here to teach you how to shield yourself from you piggy bank turning into a skinny little pork chop.
When it is time to pay the bill, ask to go to the bathroom. Say you’re taking a gigantic steaming dump. If you do that, people aren’t going to argue with you, since you’ve gained like… 30 pounds of food in your stomach. To make sure people won’t ask you to pay the bill, you have to act as if it’s urgent. The bad part is that they’ll probably just wait for you… since they are Asians of course.
Another tactic is to blame the person next to you for not paying for the last five thousand dim sum dinners. If that happens, your relatives will strike into an argument and you can sneak away when nobody notices. :)
If all else fails, there is only one strategy left for you to use. Just pay the bill. After all, you only see your relatives on New Year’s. Just have a good time and happy holidays. :D

HOME ALONE.

fact:home alone is the best holiday movie ever. it is classic, funny, filled with christmas-y happiness (but you can enjoy it even if you celebrate a different holiday) . it's a movie that is worthy of watching over and over again with family or friends, basically anyone.

here are 10 reasons why it is so good and some fun facts about home alone.

1. it inspires kids to be brave like kevin, and to be able to save themselves if the bad guys attack. you can learn how to use everyday toys and objects to make the most simple yet complex rube goldberg-style trap so that robbers can't attack them. well, it at least made kids think they would be able to  be prepared for a invasion-type situation and that they can outsmart all the burglars of the world. seriously why do i not have firecrackers in my kitchen?!

2. john hughes (!!!!!!!!!!!!) wrote the movie, and the music is done by john williams. (!!!)

3. macaulay culkin was a really good convincing child actor until he became weird. I MEAN WEIRD.

4. the picture of the girl that kevin finds in buzz's room is actually a boy made to look like a girl. they didnt want to offend anyone so they did some editing magic. "buzz, your girlfriend! woof!"

5. it's got ton of production quality stuff! did you know that the movie in the movie (movieception) "angels with filthy souls" and "angels with filthier souls" from the second home alone are both FAKE, made for the movie, films. somebody give them an oscar now! also the talkboy device kevin uses, was a prop, but due to high demand it was an actual product for a little while.

6. it is QUOTABLE. "keep the change ya filthy animal", "i don't know how to pack a suit case, i've never done this in my entire life!" "how am i supposed to shave in france?! GROW A GOATEE." and of course the very long   :" I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices; including inbetween my toes and in my belly button, which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. I washed my hair with adult formula shampoo and used cream rinse for that just-washed shine. I can't seem to find my toothbrush, so I'll pick one up when I go out today. Other than that, I'm in good shape."

7. you must get all the essentials. milk, eggs, and fabric softener. and an american dental association approved toothbrush.

8. fuller is kevin mcallisters real life brother. just thought you should know.

8. never let a teen girl count heads for a large family gathering. you will lose a person and it will not make you feel better if someone else forgot their reading glasses.

9. no calling cards. wet bandits? NO. sticky bandits. NO. just don't become a burglar, okay?

10. it teaches you that it is a good idea to keep string, cardboard cutouts, and music around your house. those jonas brother cutouts you've been concealing in your closet might come in handy if you need to throw a fake holiday party.. and don't keep your christmas lights on a timer.

well that's all for now. don't let tarantulas loose, keep away from creeps that our burglars, and the creepy old guy down the street just might be your friend.

love, sena.

comment any other movies you would like us to do this for! what are your favorite holiday movies to watch?

holiday cookies ;)

its that time of year where you take out the cookie dough and start turning the oven on.
you're probably thinking of making cookies, however from personal experience, it isn't always a good thing....
one time i was making some cookies, and they they started burning...and then the whole house was up in flames...ok that was a little exaggeration, but they always end up looking a little something like this:
sena tells me to include her sad experience of walking with a bag of flour and spilling it all over the floor/kitchen thus creating indoor snow!!!
but if you are deciding to make some cookies and have a bunch of failed attempts, DO NOT GIVE UP!
after falling a bunch of times, do you give up walking? NO! you get up and start walking again, maybe even start dancing and doing double dreamhands :)
that was kindof off topic, but in the end holiday cookies usually turn out really good.but if you're really lazy you could always buy some from the store??

get christmas-y.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY ANIMALS!  PSYCH, YOU'RE ALL DYING ON DECEMBER 21st SO ENJOY THE APOCALYPSE!

just kidding, like anyone is going to die.. what happens to the people who actually think the world is ending? are they going to stay underground thinking their the sole survivors of the earth? and then eventually form the district 13 of the hunger games in the future.... yeah that won't happen right?!

so anyways it is a WEEK until christmas, snow actually fell from the sky for like 2 seconds, and it's time to get into that holiday spirit, so we've changed our background to some holly, and you'll be getting posts on holiday movies, HOME ALONE, diy gift ideas, etc.

angela kind of kickstarted it off yesterday so i'm just going to share some free computer wallpapers.
