valentines day?

anti valentines

Everyone kind of celebrates Valentine’s Day. They say it’s the day of “love” or something. For me, that day is the same as any other day. For me, it’s Single Awareness Day. (SAD). On that day, everyone who is single is completely aware that they are single because of all the PDA on Valentine’s Day… I mean, is it really such a special day? Who in the world said, “Hmm… February 14th is going to be the day where all the single people are going to be singled out! What I really mean is, if you really love someone, shouldn’t everyday be Valentine’s Day? Why does it have to be this day? Kbai.

Dat Apocalypse.

{note from sena and angela: sorry about the lack of content recently... we're kind of in a       brain freeze on stuff to write about. but today we have a post from our guest blogger, mark! happy new year's guys!}

So I was wondering… with all this bath salts and zombie stuff happening, what would happen in a real apocalypse? I would have to bring many things on my EPIC JOURNEY OF AWESOMETACULAR but there are three that really step out. Without further notice, here are my top three things I would bring in an apocalypse :D.

1) I would probably bring toilet paper. I mean, if you’re out in the wild, you would probably want some toilet paper, especially with no toilets what so ever. I wouldn’t wipe it on my hand O_-. What would you use if you were taking a dump and had no toilet paper?

2) I would bring a bunch of hot pockets. They are the best food in survival!!! If you’re hungry, just pop in some hot pockets and eat. No need for cooking and adding all that spice and flavor. MSG will be your friend in the apocalypse.

3) A backpack. I mean, how are you gonna store all that toilet paper and all those hot pockets. Why carry them around with your hands when you can use your backpack to carry everything?

Even though these are my top three useless things I would bring during an apocalypse, there are still many things to worry about like water, resources, survival, and much much moar. But you better bring your toilet paper or else your hand might turn brown. Happy Late New Years everyone!!!

An Asian New Year

so if you even remember, we had a guest blogger, rohit. well, that was...sucessful....(no...) so we've temporarily brought in a new guest blogger, which is our friend mark! so here's his post!

Hello! My name is Mark and I shall be a guest blogger on This Is Me Being Clever. Since this blog consists of mostly girls I shall bring my own guy perspective :). Anyways, let’s get started!

Every year, New Year’s means a lot of preparation for us Asians. The worst part of New Year’s preparations is the relative dinner. It’s basically an Asian tradition that all relatives go to one dim sum place. It’s basically like a game. Since there are like thirty people there, no one wants to pay the bill. You want to avoid the bill at all costs. I’m here to teach you how to shield yourself from you piggy bank turning into a skinny little pork chop.
When it is time to pay the bill, ask to go to the bathroom. Say you’re taking a gigantic steaming dump. If you do that, people aren’t going to argue with you, since you’ve gained like… 30 pounds of food in your stomach. To make sure people won’t ask you to pay the bill, you have to act as if it’s urgent. The bad part is that they’ll probably just wait for you… since they are Asians of course.
Another tactic is to blame the person next to you for not paying for the last five thousand dim sum dinners. If that happens, your relatives will strike into an argument and you can sneak away when nobody notices. :)
If all else fails, there is only one strategy left for you to use. Just pay the bill. After all, you only see your relatives on New Year’s. Just have a good time and happy holidays. :D

procrastination.

My Introduction
‘Allo there. I’m Rohit, a friend of the creators of this blog. A while ago they gave me the opportunity to do a guest post, and this is what happened during the time creating this post.
                                                                             Thanks!

PROCRASTINATION
The Power of the lazy!
So my topic I’ll cover in this post is procrastination. Procrastination happens to us all. If you don’t know what it is, I’ll give you a definition.
pro·cras·ti·nate [ prō krásti nàyt ]   1.postpone doing something: to postpone doing something, especially as a regular practice
Anyways, it seems that everyone procrastinates. You may be procrastinating your homework reading this post, and I am procrastinating my homework while I am typing this post.

You may even procrastinate not even knowing it. Will you complete that long 8 page essay on the first day it’s due? No. That’s procrastinating right there!

Unfortunately, procrastination will get you if you don’t pay attention to it. You’ll sometimes forget to study for a test, do your homework, or not even finish anything.
            Thanks for reading this post!
