you should learn everything about life from jim henson

So today is a extremely good day. If you don't know what it is, It's Jim Henson's birthday. If he was still with us today, he would have turned 76 years old. Honestly who doesn't think Jim Henson is amazing? And I'm actually surprised at the amount of people who don't get why he is such a genius. Some people don't even know who he is! It's sad. He created so many amazing shows and characters. Like for example, here's a fun fact: I bet you didn't know that he helped to create Yoda. From Star Wars. Seriously. But more importantly, he is the creator of the Muppets, Fraggle Rock, some of Sesame Street and a lot of other great movies and shows. He made everything magical that he created, and inspired everyone from grown-ups to toddlers, and everything under,above and in between.

Here are somethings you can learn from him.
1. You are unique and special.
Ever notice how the muppets never talked and sang about how everyone didn't have a talent, or how everyone is good at everything? But instead they should focus on following your dream and being who you are. Like Rowlf the Dog. He's all " I can't tell any jokes, but I'm a insane piano player." Who need all that other stuff in life? Focus on what you know you love.

2. Keep Believing
This one is important.  Someday we’ll find it: the Rainbow Connection. The lovers, the dreamers and me. 
When you wish upon a star, or 11:11 on a clock, or a lucky penny you found, do you actually believe in it? I realize now that indeed I have not found my "rainbow connection" but one day i will. I especially believe it when jason mraz or weezer and hayley williams sings it.

3. It's Ok to be Weird, You're still important.
Remember Muppets in Space? And how Gonzo always thought that he was classified as a "whatever" and a "weird"? And how he had  his own alien species? Well at the end he was proud of his weirdness, and that teaches everyone that they should too. Weird is good. No one is normal, because normal is not normal. Normal is weird. Even the "normal" people have to be weird in some way, making the whole world weird. So cherish your inner "weirdo" and rock out with Gonzo. Here's a quote from the Muppets in Space movie in the beginning that i actually don't like.

  Gonzo:   Well, it's just that I'm sick and tired of being a one-of-a-kind freak, that's all.  

 Kermit:  Gonzo, you are not a one-of-a-kind freak. You're a, uh... uh...  
 Gonzo: A whatever?
 Kermit: Well.....yeah.

Remember. Don't listen to Kermit on this one. You are not a whatever. Just appreciate being a one of a kind
freak. And people will love you for being you.

4. Worries for another day, Dance your cares away.
The Fraggle Rock theme song is just plain inspiring. Listen to them, and follow them carefully.

Anyways, never watch his funeral video ever. It will make you cry. Even Big Bird will make you cry. I recommend that you don't. But to my point. Jim Henson did everything with passion, creativity, and his just all-around amazing powers. Although I wish he was alive so that he could share more of his dreams with the world, he left an impact on everyone with his creations. rest in peace & happy birthday.
