MORE YOUTUBE MUSIC.

hi guys! long time no post from me. im still trying to come up with some new original material, so hopefully there will be more posts coming soon. my new year's hopes for the blog is to hit at least 1000 views by our 1 year anniversary of this blog, and for more posts (diys possibly?) and hopefully a blogging schedule. but until then, you'll have to put up with my mediocre posts for now.

so for christmas i got a ukulele! which i really wanted and i was insanely happy when i recieved one. i found it was really easy to learn (i basically learned it in a day.) and so once i got the hang of some basic chords i started to go find songs to play. and so i watched a ton of different covers of ukulele people on youtube and found some new musicians i like.

so this kid named JD (jdviolinboy) is pretty much the most insanely talented and adorable 9 year old on youtube. i found him when i was learning ho hey by the lumineers (heres his cover.), and then i started to look at his other videos and wow. this kid is awesome. he plays violin, ukulele, piano, and can sing, rap, and beatbox. and harmonize and use loops. not to mention he has great music taste for a 9 year old. (his favorite band is IMAGINE DRAGONS. :) and he has even sang with them! ) i hope he goes really far in music and keeps making videos.

anyways here's some of his videos! go check his stuff out.

another person that is probably now by favorite british youtube singer is Dodie Clark or doddleoddle.  she is just an amazing beautiful person with a beautiful voice, not to mention a super cute little sister who she sometimes sings with. she also plays ukulele of course. her covers and original songs are all so amazing and her song a permanent hug from you is just cuteness overload in the lyrics (im learning it right now.) so go check her out too because she's so sweet.

anyways i hope enjoyed these people too and if you have more people you would like me to feature, as always  COMMENT.

YOUTUBE MUSIC DAY 7

today's youtuberian musician is Allegra or stopitsgingertime! she is a 17 year old, who writes and sings songs about her many obsessions such as doctor who, homestuck, gravity falls, teen wolf, etc, accompanied by her ukulele. her songs are really fun, and her voice is cute as well.

we definetely relate to her song about obsessions and fandoms!

YOUTUBE MUSIC DAY 6

today's sharing is pretty self explanatory and quick because it is way too late, and i nearly forgot this post. so we chose THE MIDNIGHT BEAST for today. which is a british group consisting of its three members, Stefan Abingdon, Andrew Wakely and Ashley Horne.they do comedy songs and parodies. you might have heard of them from their youtube famous parody of tik tok by kesha. ANYWAYS, they are really funny lyrical geniuses and i quite enjoy their songs and videos

here is their latest parody of keshas die young which they have named LIVE FAST DIE OLD.

im very obsessed and ive memorized basically the first half along with rhett and links christmas sweatz song.

YOUTUBE MUSIC DAY 4 : The Vamps.

hi guys! happy 12/12/12 (for those of you in america today) i hope you had a lucky day and all your wishes will come true. today at our school it was crazy. at the 12 sec. of the 12 min. of the 12 hour of the 12 day etc basically when it turned 12:12 these 6th graders started a conga line. seriously. anyways on to the musician for today!

for today i picked a band called THE VAMPS  (thevampsofficial). they are a group of 3 british boys Bradley Will-Simpson, James Mcvey, Tristan Evans,

who have kind of a indie-pop take on pop songs (for example one direction, taylor swift that sort

of stuff.) i'm really in love with them and i hope they don't go all one direction on us, because

they are amazing. i can definetly say im a vampette.....

here is their take on the one direction song kiss you (which is like the only song i know from their latest album haha)

here are them with carrie fletcher (another british youtuber...) singing love is easy by mcfly which is probably at least in the top 3 of world's cutest songs.... which speaking of the girl, carrie in the video is a sibling of one of the guys in mcfly... i guess this post is introducing 3 people then...

THIS is the original song by mcfly.

well that's your post for WEDNESDAY! i would really love it if you commented what you think!

ps. thank you for 5000 views :)

YOUTUBE MUSIC DAY 3

so for today's musician i picked drew tabor (her channel isd rewby1xo) who is a girl with just a really pretty voice. it's kind of singersongwriter but still pop. and it has a little soulful vibe to it.
she also has both covers and original songs that all sound pretty good. i have a feeling you guys will like her.

her original song DECEMBER NIGHTS.
and here's her mashup cover of die young by ke$ha and live while we're young by one direction. me and angela learned about both songs from her. it sounds so cool.. the way she sings makes things really catchy. i don't even know why.
anyways as always tell us what you think of our picks in the comments! we hope we've been showing you some of your new future favorite youtube singers...

love always,

for monday's youtube musician is actually more than one person. these guys arecimorellitheband, these guys are all sisters and i first came across them when my sister got obsessed with this one song-payphone and started  finding all music covers of payphone in all of youtube land.

PLAY ALL THESE SONGS AT ONCE TO SAVE TIME AND IF IT STILL SOUNDS AWSEOME, COMMENT...WHY AM I TYPIN IN CAPS???
so this is them singing that very song:
here is a video of them singing taylor swift's song i knew you were trouble

off topic- do the videos above and below seem to have color coded clothes much?
some nights:
right now i am watching jeopardy, for some reason every time i always guess and get only 1 right ):
thought of the day:

...the world may never know (just like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop)

YOUTUBE MUSIC DAY 1

hi guys!  sorry about not posting for basically forever. so to make up for that. i decided i would make this week, a youtube musician week, where angela and i will feature a different singer/musician person each day, every day for you guys starting today!

so here's our musician for DAY 1:

RUSTY CLANTON:

today's musician is rusty clanton who is a singer-songwriter type . i just found him recently because of his song being feautured in a meekakitty video. his voice is pretty much really amazing. and his covers (which includes BON IVER) and originals are the best things ever.
so here is my favorite original of his called RIBS AND THINGS.

if you like it be sure to tell him we sent you :)

here is another video of him dueting with a girl named asiah singing tonight you belong with me from the jerk. it is seriously  vocal perfection. i've watched it like 17 times exactly (maybe more ) just today and im listening to it right now as i type.
well that's all today!

* COMMENT BELOW TO SAY IF YOU LIKED IT OR IF YOU HAVE A RECCOMENDATION OF A YOUTUBER MUSICIAN FOR US!!!!!!!

for example: new orleans. now ive learned that you have to go to a big Me-ardio Legreatus party on boo boo street in newarleo leaninis. JUST WATCH IT. i guarantee you will be watching all of these videos and laughing your head off. seriously.

it's thanksgiving apparently.

so in the last post, angela talked about how no one cares that it's going to be thanksgiving next
week.well that's a lie, because there's this new video that came out that you might of heard of, by the makers of that other video you might have heard of: "friday". yep. this time the song is called "it's thanksgiving" and is sung by another child who thinks she's going to become a pop star whose name is nicole westbrook. not only has this guy aka that producer patrice wilson, wrote a song that taught me the days of the week, but has now also taught me all of the holidays   all in a autotuned tween pop "song". EDUCATIONAL! so maybe it's a little bit better than friday, but it still contains the same bad grammar, lyrics that are just plain stupid, and a video that makes no sense whatsoever.

so for example here are some of the many reasons why this doesn't make any sense. first off, WHY DOES SHE ENJOY THANKSGIVING SO MUCH? i don't think any child is actually going "oh my god, did you know thanksgiving is my all time favorite holiday ever? i just love it so so so so much, let's go decorate for it!" no! sure there might be someone but i'm pretty sure the majority of kids aren't going to say they think thanksgiving is their favorite holiday. also, why is she cooking the entire thanksgiving feast/meal alone. without any parents. in a silent house. and the lyrics confuse me too. is she saying "turkey AYE mashed potatoes AYE" or egg? or eh? i honestly don't know. then we go back to "friday" with the "we we we" lyrics. after that the video goes to these other clips, where for some reason she is throwing parties for every major holiday with her friends with no parents. she's like 10. is she a rich orphan or something? and then this is where it's actually funny, a strange middle age man just comes out of nowhere at all of these parties and starts singing. who is he?! what is he doing there? OH whoa. that's that guy who was driving that car in friday. oh that's the producer? blame his face for this video. ok and then the doorbell rings for her thanksgiving...party.. and he's there again IN A TURKEY COSTUME. why would she let him in? under any condition would you let a grown man in a turkey costume into your house. and then she starts rapping. oh.my. gravy (that made no sense). ok the lyrics are "can't be hateful, gotta be gratefu;. mashed potatoooess" ooh. that was..deep....even her "friends" look horrified. and the guy. yeah he's sitting there still dressed like a turkey eating TURKEY happily., with these..kids. and then nicole sings into a turkey drumstick. yes.  then it finally ends.

well then.

so i don't know what to say about this video. so i guess you can watch it. or not. or you can go watch a video of a llama. (i recommend the llama)

don't forget to comment below your reactions to the video or something like that!

goodbye my mermaid friends,

ps. you know that time when you walk home and there's a mustache car in your driveway? it happened

musical history.

so today here's just a quick post for a youtube thing i found called collectivecadenza. if you like music you will definitely love this. basically they have created many funny musical experiments, such as the history of misheard lyrics, a ringtone medley, western music genres, whistling, classical music, etc. you should check them out even if you aren't a music geek. they even have a mark zuckerburg "musical" where they sing about facebook to the tune of songs from musicals. speaking of musicals, last weekend i went to go see wicked! if you have the chance, go see it. its amazing (i got a signed poster!),

so here is my favorite current one of their where they get kids into classical music by having them sing pop song lyrics to orchestral music. gangnam style sung to the Jurassic park theme? yep. can can mashed with bad romance? it happens. watch the whole thing!
CLICK HERE for their channel, they have so many good videos.

if you do check them out, comment below your favorite video, or your favorite pop song to classical music thing!

bye

stalk the british.

i've always been obsessed with british things (no boy bands. ok that's a lie. but not what i think you're thinking. is it what i think? i think so.) but lately i really like british youtubers. first of all they all have the most amazing accents, and they're all really funny, and i want their lives (because i don't have one.)
i mean they surf in the middle of the street, attempt accents for fun all the time, and throw parties out of tiny cars. WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?
so here are some of these people from the youtubey-tube. :
pointlessblog, sampepper, marcusbutlertv, jacksgap, and zoella280390

here are some videos:
they have tons of videos and basically all these people all know each other and their all from brighton. i need to start working on my accent..... "oh my god, look at that hamburger, i really want to stroke it.

have a great weekend, people of the inter webs and remember this:

Look Alikes

In this world there are 7,038,044,500 (as of September, 8 2012.)
so out of that huge number, there is bound to be at least one person who looks like you. Everyone keeps telling me that since I already have a twin, I don't have to go out and look for a look alike, BUT just to keep things clear: WE LOOK NOTHING ALIKE!!!! there was this one kid who even didn't know we were related after two years of knowing us!  I've always wondered if there was someone out there who really looked like me. And if there was, where would that person be...
Everyone always says stuff like:
"You are one of a kind!"
" There is nobody out there that looks like you."
etc, etc, details, details , and more details.
BUT they might be wrong. Just think, out of the billions of people out there, someone could be walking around with your exact face!!!
What if you looked like a celebrity out there? Don't you think that strangers would come up to you and ask for autographs?

apparently there are even celebrity look alike contests!
i don't agree with all of these but some of them like the Eddie Murphy one are really similar.
there is a similarity here, but we <3 meekakitty!
hehe more celebrity lookalikes with youtube stars: this one is kinda look a like-ish
what's similar here is their face shapes and hairstyle and...a lot of things
these are 6 people that look alike!!! they're not even related and they look more like sisters than my own TWIN!!!

Thought of the day:
this one is actually more of a "TRY THIS OUT" of the day type thing:

ok then seeya!

dance like no one's watching

okay, today i'm going to share with you some videos that i've been wanting to post for a while! so i really love flashmobs and insane dancing. so i definitely love videos of people who can just break out their amazing dance skills in the middle of nowhere. and i especially love that they don't care what people think of them!

the first two are of actress/comedian Angela Trimbur who is awesome and hilarious and is on thesegirls (i will blog about that soon! very soon).

this is of her dancing at a laundromat:
and this one is at a mall. in this one i feel like everyone was anticipating a flashmob.
these next few are of a guy named Nathan. J. Barnatt who has pretty cool videos and mad spastic dance skills.
well, after watching all of those dance videos i will guarantee that you might start unconsciously dancing at a random time. did i mention that all these people had the best choice in music ever? i mean lykke li, chromeo, madeon, and yelle? i like the way they think.

have a good day (or night..)

ps. we are almost at 2000 views. help us get there!!! thanks for your support!
